Note to self.... Be Still & Breathe Deeply.

Note to self.... Be Still & Breathe Deeply.

If you feel overwhelmed, pause and breathe deeply.  It will calm you and release a certain amount of tensions.

If you are experiencing anxiety, worried about something coming up, or can not let go of something that already happened, pause and breathe deeply.... several times.  It will bring you back to the present and still your nerves.

If you are moving too fast, pause and breathe deeply.  It will remind you to slow down, and enjoy life just a bit more.

Take a moment and pause and breathe deeply..... ....... ...... enjoy each moment of this life.

For this life is too fleeting, and may be over before you know it.  Don't waste a breathe in busyness, but pause and breathe deeply taking in life and all that it holds!

Believe... In YOURSELF

Believe... In YOURSELF
There are those days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you
had hoped they would be.
That’s when you have to lift your chin up slightly and tell yourself that things will get better.

There are times when people disappoint you and let you down.
But those are the times when you must,

remind yourself to trust your own judgments

and opinions,

to keep believing in yourself and chasing your

dreams.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.  For, you are responsible for your action & reactions.
Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you by asking good questions.

Do you love your business as much as your family?
You always have to love and provide for your family. However, there are times--especially in today's environment of hand-to-hand combat--when many of your normal family experiences have to be put on hold in order to tend to your business. You have to maximize profits in your business so your family life can continue on a reasonable basis.

Do you work on weekends?
If not, why not? You can use the time to meet with employees, order priorities, and attend to financial details you've neglected for the last few weeks (and fantasize what you'll deal with next week). Weekends are also a good time to meet prospective employees because you'll find out what they're made of.

Do your workers respect you?
I didn't say like you. I said respect you. Whether or not they like you is irrelevant. What's important is that you are making money and they will share in that directly or indirectly. Serious profits get everyone's respect.

(The above questions are taken from http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/205206#ixzz2Zu4xxc72)

Are you satisfied?
You should and shouldn't be. There's always some way to make things better, but watch out as unsatisfied individuals often deal with more anxiety and additional stress.  It's true that the little extra that makes the difference between just another struggling business and a resounding success and failure isn't a defining moment - only a teacher showing you what did not work.

Do you work the majority of evenings and on weekends?

What drains you?

What do you enjoy doing?

What good experiences has life given you along the way?

What bad experiences have been your greatest teachers along the way?

What have you done well the past few months?

What were your biggest challenges you face?

What would you do if anything was possible in this next season of life?

It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle or success through asking questions you will find a stronger sense of who you are.

So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilitiesremember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.
Because the challenges and changes just may help you see that which is truly most important and find those goals which are closest to your heart.

Ever run out of INSPIRATION & didn't know where to find it?

Have you ever run out of INSPIRATION & didn't know where to find it?
Of course you have — if we are to be honest, we all have!
If I was to be completely honest, I face this situation at least once a week.
And while I’ve jotted down and shared some of my favorite sources of INSPIRATION before - In this article I wanted to SHARE the sources of YOUR INSPIRATION.
Last month, I asked the question on TwitterWhere do you turn to when you need inspiration?
The responses were overwhelming. I couldn’t reprint all of them, but I picked a handful of my favorites (I liked many more than the ones below).
Here they are — 13 great sources of inspiration, thanks to my friends on Twitter:

Ask For Me - Taking a RISK -An Inspirational Short Story

Ask For Me - Taking a RISK  -An Inspirational Short Story

Today, a man came in to apply at my restaurant.  He seemed charismatic, kind, knowledgeable, and friendly.  Later, when I went to call him to extend a job offer, I noticed he had written “ask for me” under his number.  The number belongs to a homeless shelter.  But I’m gonna take a risk and hire him anyways.  -Anonymous

Fight For Independence! Never Give Up On Your FREEDOM!

Fight For Independence!  Never Give Up On Your FREEDOM!

We Must Never Give Up!

We Must Continue To Reach For Our Dreams!

Why do we fall?

So, we can learn to get back up!

Get back up!

Crawl to you knees - refuse to quit

even if you seem like a misfit.

When things go wrong,
as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but please don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And failure will come about
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than, It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure
turned inside out

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit!

Success is failure turned inside out - Please NEVER GIVE UP!

FREEDOM - INDEPENDANCE - UN-PARALLELED Scott Rigsby Story

In the midst of REALITY the UN-PARALLELED Scott Rigsby Story reviles an
ELEMENT of faith - FREEDOM & INDEPENDENCE.
He was an 18 year old kid on a hot summer day just prior to his first college semester. Riding in the back of a pickup truck in rural Georgia with friends after a hard day of landscaping work. They were talking sports, girls and plans for the weekend, when suddenly the truck is hit by a passing 18- wheeler, throwing him underneath a 3-ton attached trailer and dragging him 300 feet.
His back suffered third degree burnshis right leg was severed off and his left leg hung barely intactHis life was seemingly over, or so it seemed for Scott Rigsby.
Over a decade of countless doctor visits and hospitals, 26 surgeries, additional amputation, depression, fear, and uncertainty, Rigsby had become a professional patient. An inevitable battle with prescription drug addiction followed, as did the loss of many relationships and trust. At one point, things got so desperate that Rigsby sold what little furniture he had just to pay rent. There was no steady income and no dreams for a stable or successful future.
Life had hit Scott Rigsby hard, knocking him down and keeping him there.
Unthinkable is the incredible true story of how Scott Rigsby turned his life around, reaching unprecedented heights as a world-class athlete.
Doing the unthinkable is not easy. It requires an unshakeable determination to overcome any obstacle. Scott Rigsby not only has done the unthinkable, he sees no finish line in sight. Rigsby embraced this motto when he decided in 2005 to change his life, and the world, by breaking down barriers for physically challenged athletes. Little did Rigsby know that his inspirational journey would soon impact generations of able bodied people. He believes he has a genuine purpose to make a difference in everyone's life. He is on a mission fueled by a simple prayer that if God would open doors for him, then he would go through them. Sounds rather trivial until you hear his story of tragedy and one young man's struggle to simply carry on.
Once that door first door opened more than 15 years after his accident, a relentless and determined Rigsby arose and never looked back. A once beaten man from a small town was now taking on the world.
He completed 13 triathlons and 5 road races on his way to setting world records for a double below-the-knee amputee in the Full Marathon, Half Ironman, and International Distance Triathlon, earning him a spot on the 2006 USA Triathlon Team. As his accomplishments mounted, so did Rigsby's desire to do the unthinkable and take his mission to the next level. He would tackle the toughest endurance test of them all, the Ironman, to raise the bar and inspire all challenged athletes to reach beyond their circumstances.
Call it fate or maybe just life taking another swing at Rigsby, but tragedy struck again as he crashed halfway through the cycling portion of the Coeur d' Alene, Idaho Ironman event. Cracking a vertebrae, he overcame the pain to finish ahead of the bike cutoff time and ran 12 miles of the marathon before succumbing to his injuries. Not one to give up, Rigsby then prepared himself for the World Championship Ironman in Hawaii.
On October 13, 2007, after enduring the elements for 16 hours and 43 minutes, Scott Rigsby became the first double-amputee on prosthetics in the world to finish an Ironman distance triathlon with prosthetics at the 140.6-mile World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Rigsby used "swim legs" to navigate the difficult 2.4 mile ocean swim, "bike legs" to cycle 112 miles through the heat and gusting winds of the Big Island lava fields on a standard road bike, and "run legs" to complete the marathon segment in darkness and intense pain.
To hear Rigsby tell it, the drama unfolded early and adversity struck often throughout the day and night with mother nature, his prosthetics and time continuously working against the man of iron will. His triumphs and adversities during the ordeal is a poetic summary of his life, as he describes the intimate thoughts and feelings of conquering the challenge that ultimately defines his life and purpose. Share in the final miles as he runs against his past, toward the open door down Alii Drive, through the flowery tunnel of frenzied fans waiting to see "The Miracle" beat the dreaded midnight deadline. With 17 minutes to spare before race organizers called things off, you will hear the final moments come to life as the announcer screams, "Here he comes, it's Scott Rigsby, he's going to do it. Unbelievable!"
Scott Rigsby's incredible story contains as many highs and lows as one can imagine over such a short and storied life. Like a Rubik's Cube, there are many twists and turns in his amazing tale that offers something personal and meaningful to each individual. You might laugh and you might cry or, both. But one thing is for certain, you will be inspired. For Scott Rigsby, there is no finish line.
Rigsby is currently engaged in corporate speaking events, counseling wounded US troops, making public appearances, conducting media interviews and being highlighted in national magazines and newspapers. In addition, the Scott Rigsby Foundation (a 501C3), designed to inspire, educate and enable amputees and all challenged athletes around the world, is opening new doors for challenged athletes to meet their personal goals.
Unthinkable, Rigsby's unique story of success and failures, all started with a decision and the desire to never quit, no matter what, no matter how long.
