A Thanksgiving Day Festivity Poem By Trevor Drinen

A Thanksgiving Day Festivity Poem
By Trevor Drinen

When the Halloween pumpkins are squishy and gone,
And the leaves have turned brown and fallen to ground,
When the morning air has turned windy and crisp,
Then Thanksgiving will soon be around.
Some will have thoughts of loved ones all feasting together,
Pleasant pictures from the past appear
While others will sit alone hoping someone is thinking of them, with thoughts of Thanksgiving possibilities,
Hopeful pictures of what could be seem to dance away until someone invites them to stay.
Dwelling in each heart and mind
family, friends, and the fun festivities of Thanksgiving day.
What's a Turkey think of all those festivities?

Sitting in the field.

One turkey said, "The day is getting late."

The next turkey alertly said, "Who goes there!?"

The first turkey replied, "There are farmers with guns everywhere!"
"Let's run, run, run."
"Now this is Thanksgiving fun."

Within the pull of a trigger and blink of an eye Thanksgivings here!
Kitchens throughout the land have scrumptious aromas filling the air,
And now together we are ready to dine!
A prayer of thanks for everyone is to be said
Then we share the wonderful spread.

Share your thoughts with me.
